This is precisely because the structure of the writing can hardly be rearranged without the permission of the author, whereas the word order in one sentence has to be more flexibly changed by a translator. Writing involves combining words, but it is equally important to note that it involves combining sentences. Of course, if Al translators ever begin to change the combinations of sentences and paragraphs, it means that they will begin to create rather than merely to translate.
